Vesta Scullers' Head 2011

Vesta Scullers' Head 2011

On Saturday, Emilie, Malcolm and Spence took part in the Vesta Scullers' Head on the Thames.

This is the largest single-division processional single sculls race in the world, and is held over the 4.25 mile championship course from Mortlake to Putney. First sculled in 1954, this year’s race involved almost 500 scullers, attracting entries from all over the United Kingdom and the world, with standards ranging from internationals to novices.

Provisional results suggest that alll three Deben scullers did fantastically well, with Emilie winning her category, Malcolm coming 4th in his, and Spence also getting a cracking time.

Very well done to you all!!
